HIP FIGURINE ART

More than a hundred  figurines created by local artists Jason Siu Kwong-tak, Pal Wong and Paul Leung are on display in an exhibition called Kidult Festival - The 3er Exhibition.

Kidult refers to adults who enjoy youth culture, and action figures are  popular toys, beloved by young people and adults alike.

The artists are displaying a hundred 12-inch figures in different shapes and styles, as well as  eight  life-sized  figures, clad in hip street fashion.

The exhibition runs until October 31 at the main entrance and 2/F of Times Square. For more information, call 2118 8900.

NOVEL CHILEAN PLAY

Chung Ying Theatre will stage The Postman, a Cantonese play based on an award-winning film written by famous Chilean novelist Antonio Skameta.

The story revolves around the friendship between the poet, Pablo Neruda, and a young postman, Mario, on Isla Negra.

As the political wind changes, Neruda moves to Paris but he never forgets his good friend. Letters and poems bring the two men together again.

Directed by Ko Tin-lung, the play stars Luther Fung, Edmond Lo, Brenda Chan and Kearen Pang.

The Postman will be staged from Friday to October 31 at 8pm, with weekend matinees at 3pm at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Studio Theatre.

Tickets cost $180 and $120, with half-price concessions for students, and are available from Urbtix on 2734 9009.
