Regina Belle is  one of the most skilled vocalists on the R&B scene. She grew up singing gospel and was attracted to R&B as a child. She learnt to play multiple instruments, including the trombone, tuba and steel drums. At age 12, she won a school singing contest.  She studied opera and jazz in college. Her first debut single All By Myself was a huge hit in 1990.  A Whole New World, the theme song of the movie Aladdin, won her a Grammy Award as well as the Academy Award for Best Song in 1993. Belle  is known for her deep, sultry voice that resembles Anita Baker's.
