Four Chinese girls will perform in Quidam, Cirque du Soleil's new show, which is taking place in Hong Kong from November 3 to December 18.

Teenagers Wang Xiaoshuang, Lulu, Liu Sisi and Wang Mengyi will perform in an act called Diabolos, which was created by Cirque du Soleil for Quidam after a team from Beijing won a gold medal in an international acrobatic competition in Paris in 1996.

Cirque du Soleil then made an agreement with the Beijing Acrobatic Troupe, and the four girls were selected.

The teenagers say the selection was based on height, figure, weight and acrobatic skills and was very strict.

They said they passed it easily because of their gymnastics background.

Three of the four girls, Xiaoshuang, Lulu, and Sisi, have been with Cirque du Soleil since 2001, and this is the third time they will perform with the troupe.
