Sleeping Beauty

TVB Pearl

The classic animated movie Sleeping Beauty was first released in 1959, following in the footsteps of Disney epics such as Snow White and Cinderella.

The music in the movie perfectly complements the colourful visuals.  The music is a re-arrangement of Tchaikovsky's ballet Sleeping Beauty, and received an Oscar nomination for Best Score.

The story, which is based on the well-known fairytale, revolves around  a beautiful and good-hearted Princess Aurora, who  falls under the evil spell of a wicked witch.

Despite the protection of three kindly  spirits,  she falls into a deep sleep at the age of 16.

She would never wake up, unless a brave prince comes along and  gives her the 'kiss of life'.

SE and Something are the best of buddies. But they constantly push their friendship to the limits with much light-hearted squabbling,  all to the tune of an upbeat salsa tempo.

In their hilltop house in the Land of Elsewhere, a land unlike anywhere you've been to before (except, perhaps, in your wildest dreams), anything can happen, and it usually does.

From the stories of some of the most interesting characters on television to the mysteries of the island, Lost: The Journey will provide a glimpse into the lives of  survivors of the doomed Oceanic Airlines flight 815.

The programme focuses on  several key characters, illustrating who they were and what they were doing before the crash.

In addition, the island itself will be explored  and some of its secrets may be revealed.

Ebb and Flo

Flo and Ebb are an inseparable pair.  Flo is a lively five-year-old girl and quietly protective of Ebb, her  fat, grumpy dog.

They live on a boat with Flo's mum and life is never dull.

Ebb doesn't like any kind of change and when new things happen, like Bird's arrival, it takes her a while to get used to them.

Ebb's happiest times are those spent with Flo in their rowing boat, with Ebb sitting in her favourite spot at the front, watching the world go by.

Ebb adores Flo and Flo can't remember life without Ebb; it's as if she's always been there.

Italy provides a veritable treasure trove, including Rome's Pantheon and the Florentine chapel of the Medici Princes.  What can we learn from the fantastic variety of mankind's creations?
