The 42-year-old Chinese investment manager is the vice-chairman of the Hong Kong Supercar Club Current drive, and why I bought it: A Mark V Volkswagen Golf GTI with DSG, modified to 240 brake horsepower and AP Racing Brake Calipers on Prodrive lightweight wheels. I needed a small car, and the Golf's more practical than a Mini Cooper S. My career in cars: A Volvo 360GLT was my first car, then a Mercedes-Benz, BMW (2002, 320i, 325i, 328i, 735i, 745i), Porsche 993, Mitsubishi Galant VR4, a Honda and a Toyota. My favourite car: The Porsche 911. Its handling is superb, and the engine is powerful, with a great racing heritage. Other cars and bikes in my garage: I have a Honda Odyssey for the family and an old Mercedes-Benz CL500, used daily by my mother. But I get to drive it when she's out of town. The worst car or bike I ever had: Mercedes-Benz 500SE. It was just too boring to drive, a gas guzzler and expensive to maintain. My first crash or ticket: I reversed my Volvo hatchback into a professor's MGB in the dormitory car park when I was at the University of Manchester. I couldn't see the roadster because of the Volvo's large rear spoiler, and it was also dark. Luckily, the Volvo just pushed away the MGB (the handbrake failed) and the roadster rolled back up about four car lengths, with a dented front bumper. I was amazed no other cars were hit. Favourite drives: Californian roads, notably Carmel, Pebble Beach, Monterey, San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge. Do you get road rage? If so, who upsets you? Bad drivers; slow cars in overtaking lanes; drivers talking on the phone, smoking, or not signalling when changing lanes, or not looking in their rear mirrors. Also, highway engineers designing bad roads. I don't get road rage with speeders. Unless they're inconsiderate, I leave them alone. If you were allowed just two cars in Hong Kong, money no object, what would you have? A Porsche 911 and a BMW M5. What's on your stereo or CD player? Metro Finance radio (for workaholics), Hotwheels Acceleracers (for my son). What's in your air freshener? A stinky wipe cloth. What's your next car purchase? I'm just waiting to see the price of the Porsche 997 turbo.
