The director would not only be responsible for hiring senior-level positions, but would also be expected to manage the entire hiring process from beginning to termination. 'This includes anything from sourcing candidates to making offers, to monitoring manpower headcount,' said Marlene Chan, staffing consultant, Kelly Services. The ideal person should have at least seven years' experience in the human resources industry with a focus on recruitment. Candidates with proven success in managing at least six other staff members will fare well in the interview process. 'The candidate must be from a multinational company but from any industry,' Ms Chan said. The ability to direct effective communications between internal staff and candidates is of utmost importance. Additionally, he or she should be a university graduate. 'The position reports to an expat, so fluency in English is necessary,' Ms Chan said.
