The new ThinkPad Z60t is the compact model under Lenovo's new line of widescreen multimedia notebooks. Available with a special-edition brushed titanium cover, the Z60t measures 26.6 x 228 x 334mm and weighs 2.24kg. It features an innovative inner armour chassis - called the ThinkPad 'roll cage' - that may reduce by up to 30 per cent the amount of stress on internal components when the notebook is dropped. These components, including the hard drive, are mounted in a magnesium cage that is stronger than traditional notebook casings. The Z60t comes with a 14-inch display, Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition operating system, 1.4-gigahertz Intel Celeron M processor 360, up to two gigabytes of memory, 40GB hard disk drive, ThinkPad 11a/b/g Wi-fi system, and Embedded Security Subsystem 2.0 with security lock slot.
