KARL Malone hit a three-point jumper with 31.1 seconds remaining to lift the Utah Jazz to a 115-111 victory over hosts the Miami Heat. Bimbo Coles had put Miami ahead 109-107 with his fifth three-pointer of the game before Malone hit the go-ahead three-pointer for the Jazz. Following Malone's jumper, Rik Smits committed an offensive foul to foul out and give Utah possession. Rony Seikaly fouled Tom Chambers, who sank two free throws with 16.1 seconds remaining to give Utah a 112-109 lead. Malone made three of four free throws in the closing moments to round of the victory. Malone led all scorers with 30 points. Jeff Malone added 19 points and Chambers had 17 for the Jazz. Seikaly led the Heat with 24, Harold Miner added 21 and Coles finished with 19.
