Erin Brockovich

With no money, no job and no prospects, Erin Brockovich is a woman in a tight spot.

Following a car accident, Brockovich pleads with her attorney Ed Masry to hire her at his law firm. It is while working there that she stumbles upon some medical records placed in real-estate files. Confused, she begins to question the connection.

She convinces Masry to allow her to investigate, and she discovers a cover-up involving contaminated water in a local community which is causing illnesses among its residents.

Although the locals initially don't want to become involved, Brockovich's persistence and the personal interest she takes in their lives makes them listen. Going door to door, she signs up more than 600 residents, and Brockovich and Masry go on to receive the largest settlement ever paid in a direct-action lawsuit in US history - US$333 million.

At Parsons, Heidi introduces a new challenge by handing each designer a mystery package which they should not open until the following morning.

She also tells them to be ready to leave at 6.30am.

The models take the stage, and Heidi notices that the designers keep choosing the same girls. Austin chooses Martinique, eliminating Erin.

Back at the Atlas apartments, the designers attempt to determine the contents of their packages.

In the morning, they finally open up the packages, revealing US Postal Service uniforms. The designers  wear the uniforms and head to the Post Office to receive their challenge.  Tim Gunn  explains their goal is to redesign the US Postal Service uniform.

Victor Sariandi, the legendary Russian archaeologist, returns to Afghanistan for the first time in 25 years to verify the famous Bactrian Horde he excavated. Last seen in 1989, its 20,000 gold objects - more than the gold found in the tomb of Tutankhamen - have been rediscovered in a secret vault under the Presidential Palace in Kabul.

But is it the real Bactrian Horde? In 2001, the Taleban cheered as they blasted the two Giant Buddhas of Bamiyan into rubble. What they didn't know is that a third Giant Buddha, bigger than the other two combined, lay safely underground. It's called the Reclining Buddha. No one has seen it for 1,000 years ...

In his first television interview for five years, Charles  talks  candidly about his controversial decision to bury his sister on an island in the grounds of the estate and create an exhibition in memory of her.

It was a decision that would change Althorp's future forever.

What had once been a typically British stately home was set to become a place of international pilgrimage.

When Charles  decided to charge the public for admission to his estate,  the press accused him of exploiting his sister's memory for financial gain.

Gigantic Planes

Tour some of the largest planes ever to hit the runway. The Airbus A380 in Toulouse, France, is nicknamed the 'Beluga' for its large cargo area built on top of its body.

In the United States, visit one of the biggest aircrafts ever made, the Lockheed C-5 Galaxy. This bird stands over six storeys tall and has a wingspan of about 70 metres.

During Operation Desert Storm, it carried about 250,000 passengers, 15 mobile hospitals and more than 200 tonnes of mail each day.

The largest aircraft operating on the planet is the Antonov from the Ukraine. From its nose to its tail, the plane is as long as a 27-storey building. Its wingspan stretches about 91 metres.

But even if spirits don't really speak from beyond, that doesn't mean the Virtual Magician can't invoke their mysterious  forces. Travel with Marco Tempest through the virtual haunted world of New York City's spiritual past and its modern-day mysteries as he magically summons these ghostly tales.

Marco will draw out  ghosts in the so-called haunted houses and restaurants whose supernatural history is described by spiritual historian Hans Holzer.  He  also moves through the crowd at the infamous Halloween parade in New York and frolics along with ghouls and monsters.

He thrills spectators with spooky tales and magic tricks as the Virtual Magician gets into the spirit of the occasion.
