THE Great Steam Era, which led to a transport revolution and rapid, widespread modernisation of many areas of life, will be remembered in an exhibition of pictures and models at the Kowloon Central Library. Featuring a collection of 21 magazine covers and photographs and two steam engine models, the exhibition is now open to the public until the end of the month. Joining the Urban Council in organising ''The Great Steam Era'' exhibition is the American Consulate, whose aims is to promote the history of American steam engines. All exhibits are supplied by the US company, Norbeck Research, and have been exhibited around the world. In addition, a display of relevant books will be featured at the library during the exhibition period. The Kowloon Central Library is located at 5, Pui Ching Road in Kowloon.
