Samsung Digimax Pro 815: This is the latest model in an increasingly popular line of 'presumer' digital cameras - professional-level products for consumers. Following on the heels of Olympus, Sony, and others, Samsung's Digimax Pro 815 comes with a big 15X optical zoom lens (28mm-420mm) that can extend three times the length of the camera itself. The 8-megapixel Pro 815 also comes with a sizable 9cm LCD screen - the largest on a digital camera to date. (Price: around $7,000)

iRiver U10: Despite the recent launch of numerous colour portable media players, the U10 manages to holds its own. It plays music and has a clear and bright colour screen which can be used to view photos and AVI video files using MPEG-4 SP compression. It's distinct in that the buttons are hidden underneath the corners of the screen, giving it a clean and sleek design. There is also a cute egg-like cradle and a remote control. Sony Cybershot DSC-T9: The latest model in Sony's line of slim digital cameras comes with a new technology that helps take clearer photos. The T9's new anti-blurring lens system incorporates sensors that detect slight movements of your hand and makes adjustments to compensate for them, resulting in clear images - even in low light conditions. The T9 delivers 6-megapixel images and comes with a 6cm LCD screen. (Price: available in January)
