Open or closed, the new Motorola Pebl U6 mobile phone shows off a thick, iconic oval design inspired by the feel of a stone worn smooth by water.
That is in stark contrast to the company's earlier Razr handset with its chiselled, thin and defined form. The black Pebl U6 features a unique dual-hinge mechanism that allows a user to gracefully slide the top cover down with one hand. It measures 49 x 86.5 x 20mm and weighs 110 grams.
It comes with monochrome and colour external displays, integrated video graphics array camera, speaker-independent voice dial, Bluetooth wireless connection, 22-kilohertz polyphonic speaker, 5 megabytes of memory, pre-loaded games and MP3 ring tones and web browser.
Talk time is up to 400 minutes, while standby time is up to 250 hours. The Pebl U6 costs $3,480.
