Ultimate oil now in HK

A NEW synthetic motor oil, Helix Ultra, billed as the world's ultimate performance lubricant, is today launched in Hong Kong.

Helix Ultra is the flagship product of the Shell lubricant range.

George Thomaidis, Shell lubricants manager for Hong Kong and Macau, said: ''It will be expensive, but worth the extra money.'' Helix Ultra uses an entirely synthetic base oil, called XHV1, which is built up chemically rather than refined from mineral oil.

Shell claims the oil has a greater ability to retain viscosity through extreme conditions than conventional oils and more environmentally friendly through its compatibility with catalytic converters and has a low chlorine content.
