Canto-pop singers Miriam Yeung Chin-wah, Leo Ku Kui-kei and Andy Hui Chi-on shared health tips with more than 1,000 pupils last week.
The singers were three of 10 young people honoured at the Ten Outstanding Young Persons Selection 2005 organised by the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Hong Kong.
The 10 young role models attended JCI's Community Service Day with the theme 'Enrich Your Life with Health' last week at Kowloon Park.
The event aimed to spread the message that it is healthy to eat daily servings of fruit and vegetables, a concept being promoted by the Department of Health.
About 1,000 students from 10 primary schools took part in the event by bringing a piece of fruit and a drawing of fruits. They displayed their pictures by holding them up in the air.
JCI plans to send photographs of the event to the Guinness Book of World Records to apply for the record of 'Largest Collection of Fruit Puzzle'.
