Like everyone else in Hong Kong, CitySeen is always happy to catch up with everybody's favourite actor, Chow Yun-fat. Appearing on Wednesday in support of the Fresh Wave Joint-U Short Film Competition alongside director Johnny To Kei-fung, Chow was his usual jovial, funny and laid-back self - even when a short old man starting yelling for him to sing on stage. Calming the fan with a quick joke, Chow went on to talk about his new short-haircut-and-moustache look, which he said - jokingly - resembled Yuen Wah's (the landlord from Kung Fu Hustle). Then, the topic turned to Pirates of the Caribbean 3. 'I only had one scene with Johnny Depp, but he strikes me as a very good actor. If they make more sequels and invite me to be in them too, I definitely want more scenes with him.' More touchy was a question about director To, considered the loser of the recent Golden Horse awards in Taipei, with only one win for his film Election out of 11 nominations. Chow shrugged, saying: 'Oh well, John is a proud man, so a little setback and defeat is actually good for him, right Johnnie? Just kidding.'
