Hong Kong driver Yau Wing-choi described his victory in the CTM Cup as a 'complete surprise' after he snatched the lead from long-time leader Kenneth Look and ran away with victory yesterday.

Look appeared to have the title all sewn up but with three laps remaining he crashed into a wall.

Yau happily inherited the win in his Honda Integra DC5, saying afterwards: 'I thought Kenneth was going to win because he was ahead of me for a long time and there were only just two or three laps left and I thought I was going to finish second.

'But Kenneth encountered brake problems and it's a pity that he couldn't win. Kenneth is so much more well known than me and much more experienced on this circuit. I am really surprised that I have won,' said the 32-year-old businessman.

'If Kenneth hadn't crashed he would have won. I feel quite lucky to have won it and I would like to race him again and see if I can lessen the gap between us.'

Look had been the fastest in practice and had driven a superb race as he steadily worked his way through the field to take the lead by lap eight, having started fifth on the grid.
