Young rock band Franz Ferdinand have reached new heights with their second album, You Could Have It So Much Better. Full of funky beats, memorable melodies and sharp lyrics, the highly anticipated follow-up to the band's self-titled debut album is further proof that they are in a league of their own in terms of creativity. Not even popular favourite Coldplay and the revived Oasis have their energy and originality. The album starts off impressively with The Fallen, a rock piece. The fun is further heightened by Do You Want To, a guitar-driven track set to become a party favourite for years to come. With every song a potential hit single, it's impossible to pinpoint one outstanding track on the album. The band rarely delves into serious issues that could suffocate their music, making their album simple, fun, down-to-earth and delightful. It's old-fashioned rock 'n' roll at its very best.
