The Soundstation2W from Polycom sets a new standard in everyday voice conferencing. It eliminates cable clutter on the conference room table with its use of 1.9-gigahertz Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications technology, providing up to 42 metres of wireless range between the system's triangular phone and a compact base station that plugs into any analogue phone jack. Users can also start and manage calls on a mobile phone, which connects to the SoundStation2W through the headset jack by plugging the provided cable with standard 2.5mm interface into the phone. Its computer calling kit enables SoundStation2W to serve as speaker and microphone for web-based calling services from Skype, Microsoft, Google and Yahoo.
