In search of Lamma secrets
I REFER to the article ''Is there life on Lamma?'' South China Morning Post November 13.
In recent months I have read a series of similar pieces in your newspaper suggesting that Lamma Island is a hotbed of, drugs and other undesirable activities. Naturally, I was drawn by this impressive list of attractions and I moved poste-haste to Yung Shue Wan.
In the two months that I have been here I have encountered no one drug-crazed or witnessed any strange practices, other than the congregation at a gospel meeting singing ''Jesus wants me for a sun beam''.
Since your reporters are responsible for my presence here I wonder if they, or any of your readers, can tell me how I can contact Lamma degenerates and if any passwords or secret signs are required to gain entrance to their unspeakable rituals.
