What is it?
One of Clarins' signature facials. This one uses ultra-concentrated products you can't buy in stores. It starts with a good cleanse, exfoliation, then proceeds to some serious hydration. A facial massage is a key element of the treatment, using extracts of seaweed, cactus and pine.
What are the highlights?
It starts with a quick dry massage to relax the body, and a whiff of aromatic oil to clear the sinuses and head. Your skin is analysed to see what kind of needs you have - in this case, hydration. Then the products come out. The smells are delicious and the textures aren't too greasy.
Any fringe benefits?
The small things really count - for example, having your feet washed at the beginning of the session. There's also a hand treatment, where the skin is exfoliated and then your hands are covered in moisturiser and wrapped in bags to seal it in. Throughout, you're cocooned in fluffy white towels, with warm pads under the body, to give that extra relaxation effect. It's a struggle to stay awake. There is also a neck and shoulder massage, and a makeup room (this was in the Central Clarins) you can use after the treatment.
How did the skin look and feel afterwards?
