If you enjoyed the eerie orchestral strings and lively songs from Tim Burton's animated comedy spookfests, don't miss out on the Corpse Bride soundtrack. Burton's creative images of the underworld have provided a perfect outlet for the unconventional music talent of Danny Elfman, a film composer and former member of eclectic group Oingo Boingo. The soundtrack contains songs that vary from energetic jazz and spine-chilling horror scores to melancholic ballads. Each track mirrors a memorable moment in the animation, which covers several genres - including romance, satire, horror and comedy. Helena Bonham Carter, who voiced the corpse bride, provides one of the best moments in both the film and soundtrack with her delicate and heartbreaking vocals in Tears to Shed. The Wedding Song, a jubilant and joyful song played by a merry band of skeletons in the film, is the work of Elfman and a back-up band. Other highlights include the spooky Into the Forest, which will appeal to fans of horror scores, and the Remains of the Day, a fun song performed by Elfman and his band, who also performed the four jazzy bonus tracks which end the album on a bouncy note.
