Victim thrown from car in robbery-kidnap ordeal
A 34-year-old man was held at knifepoint and bundled into a car in Tsim Sha Tsui before being robbed of $24,000 worth of ornaments and pushed out of the vehicle in Tseung Kwan O. The man was intercepted and threatened with the knife in Chatham Road at about 12.30pm before a white car with another three men arrived. He was pushed in and tied with tape. A passer-by discovered him in Tsui Lam Road, Tseung Kwan O and called police. A search failed to find suspects. The victim was treated for head and hand injuries.
Typhoid fever cases
A 10-year-old Yuen Long boy and his nine-year-old sister are recovering from typhoid fever at Tuen Mun Hospital. Their two brothers have also developed symptoms and been admitted to hospital.
sex case adjourned
Magistrate John Glass adjourned until Friday the case of two men charged with having sex in a car in Castle Peak Road last year. Yau Yuk-lung, 19, and Lee Kam-chuen, 30, have pleaded not guilty.
