JPMorgan has raised $600,000 for Operation Santa Claus this year, twice the amount raised by the finance house last year.
The money came in through the efforts of staff selling fun hats and other Christmas souvenirs in offices and on the trading floor, with the firm matching them dollar for dollar.
One employee even donated $100,000 of his own money.
Michael Fung, senior country officer for Hong Kong and head of private banking for Asia-Pacific for JPMorgan, said: 'This is our 75th anniversary of JPMorgan so hopefully we will do a good job in fund-raising for Operation Santa Claus.
'We have volunteers in each line of business selling the reindeer hats and also rubber bracelets.
'Dozens of volunteers are involved in the fund-raising and trying to get the momentum going.
