What: Hong Kong Christian Service (HKCS) is dedicated to providing treatment, guidance and education for people who are physically, emotionally and spiritually in need as well as encouraging the public to support social services.
The welfare group offers a wide variety of social services for young people, children, parents, seniors and the disabled in addition to providing guidance to disadvantaged or reclusive youngsters.
Teen volunteer: Ken Cheng Kam-yuen, 17, has been a HKCS volunteer for about two years.
He won an award last year for his outstanding volunteer service.
The Form Five student is a committee member of the Youth Forum of Shamshuipo, a platform for young people to convey their views to the government and community.
