A hidden agenda perhaps in those RTHK mistakes?
Beijing's lapdogs like to think RTHK is infested with liberals and democrats bent on taking public money but spouting propaganda and false stories to undermine the government. You probably think it's just typical communist paranoia, but evidence is piling up that they may be right.
A day after Chief Executive Donald Tsang Yam-kuen delivered his maiden policy speech in October, the public broadcaster referred to him as 'chief secretary' in a press release. A careless mistake? We think not. And on Monday, the public station said repeatedly that the Tsang administration would abolish 'all district council seats in 2016' as part of its reform package, when what the government had offered was to phase out all appointed council seats by that date. We didn't think those pros at RTHK would let slip something as elementary as that, so we can only guess at a deeper motive.
