New Orleans was devastated by Hurricane Katrina and as the vast majority of people living there are poor, the recovery work is very slow.

Nowadays, people spend most of their time at work. What do they want?

They want to make more money to improve their standard of living.

Money is not the most important thing on Earth.

People do different jobs, but they all have the same problem. They always worry.

Some blue collar workers get hurt on the job. They may develop lung cancer or respiratory problems.

Office workers work overtime too often and do not get enough sleep and don't eat properly.

As a result, many people in Hong Kong have poor health.

Health is invaluable.

For example, if people work hard their whole life and then get ill, they will not be able to enjoy what they have worked for.

Rest, play with your family and adopt a balanced diet!

Fair trade

The agriculture subsidies which rich countries receive are hurting developing countries. Oxfam recently organised a series of activities to promote fair trade.

Many artists all over the world support Oxfam.

Moreover, the WTO conference was held in Hong Kong.

Many foreigners arrived and demonstrated against the WTO. Hong Kong suddenly became very tense. The ministerial conference can help Hong Kong develop a democratic image

and become more international.

Flag-selling is very worthwhile

Recently I joined a flag-selling day organised by The Society of Rehabilitation and Crime Prevention.

After we met at the school, our leader distributed collection bags and we got started. Although most people looked busy, they stopped and donated their money willingly.

Flag-selling is really worth being a part of. We should contribute to the community in this way and help the needy.

I recently went to see the Metro Hit Awards 2005 with my friends. A female singer started singing and some people near the stage shouted something vulgar.

But the singer just smiled at them and kept on singing. I don't know why these people behaved so rudely.

How can they behave like that? I think that the singer was very professional.

Although she knew that she was being verbally abused, she didn't give up and leave the stage.
