A housewife broke down in tears in front of a crowd after losing money in the gambling scam in Kam Wa Street, Shau Kei Wan, a hawker said.

'The woman, who was in her 50s, had apparently lost a large amount of money as she cried for help in the market,' the hawker said.

She did not know how much the victim lost in last week's incident.
