The all-in-one SACD/DVD player combines Sony's recently developed, proprietary S-Force PRO Front Surround technology and S-Master digital amplifier. That combination helps create a virtual rear speaker for crisp, well-defined surround sound and a greater sense of audio depth. The easy-to-install entertainment centre can deliver up to 300 watts of total system power. It is also compatible with the DivX video compression format and Precision Cinema Progressive scan technology to ensure high picture quality. The DAV-X1 is priced at $4,990.
