It was madness this week as about 100 members of the press and photographers turned out for an Ekin Cheng Yee-kin promo event for a new Japanese digital camera. However, they weren't there to hear about the new toy. Everyone wanted the actor to spill the beans on his split from Canto-pop star Gigi Leung Wing-kei. However, he was relatively hush-hush, saying all the right things about them drifting apart with no nasty dirt being hurled. Still, people with nothing else to do are clearly dissecting the relationship. One observation is that Cheng and Leung lasted seven years, which is about the same length as Cheng's previous relationship with actress Maggie Siu Mei-kei. Conclusion: this is a man who gets seven-year itches.
