Good news for comic lovers: the Hong Kong Arts Centre will present Comix Home Base this year - a display of talent by local comic artists as well as foreign ones.
Comix Home Base will include a series of comic exhibitions, an animation gallery, workshops for animation and comic drawing, animation screenings and seminars.
The event will kick off in March with opening exhibition Comix Magneto.
The works of more than 20 local independent comic artists will be on display. The exhibition will also be a part of the 2006 Arts Festival's programme.
The Arts Centre will team up with the Hong Kong Comics and Animation Federation to showcase popular local comics, starting mid-year.
Thirty years of popular local comics such as Old Master Q, Ngau Chai, Dragon Tiger Gate and Chung Wa Ying Hung (A Man Called Hero) will be on display at the Arts Centre.
