Ed Lo received a diploma in management from the Henley Management College in 2002 and an MBA from the same institution three years later.

Having worked as a psychiatric nurse for several years, he decided it was time for a change. With the opening of the Magic Kingdom at Hong Kong Disneyland last year, he made the move from psychiatric ward to Main Street faster than you can say Jiminy Cricket.

'After serving as a psychiatric nurse for nine years, I wanted a magical change - to be a contingency planning specialist at Hong Kong Disneyland,' he said. 'The Henley MBA has allowed me to develop rigorous, in-depth, analytical and critically self-reflective skills well beyond the undergraduate level. It has also equipped me with tools to undertake significant applied research to perform in an increasingly competitive global business environment.'

Working in the security, safety, fire and health services department, Mr Lo acts as a cast member, as Disney prefers to call its staff. 'I am thankful for the support, guidance and encouragement provided by Disney's management team, especially my boss, Michael Holubowskyj, the director of security,' he said.

As a contingency planning specialist, Mr Lo's responsibilities run from implementing emergency management planning to conducting emergency exercise and training for the theme park's cast members.
