Olympic hurdling champion Liu Xiang . He's   cool and has helped boost the status of Chinese athletes  on the international  stage.  I am a hurdler too. That's why I admire him a lot.  I've only won some prizes in  competitions at my school, but none at  inter-school  level. Although I'm  tall, I don't have the physique to excel in  the sport.

Liu Xiang , because he runs so fast! Yao Ming  is good too. He is very tall. But I like Liu more. I think they are the most famous Chinese athletes at the moment. They're in many commercials.  They are talented and have a healthy image, which helps build up a positive image of their compatriots.  I don't like diving queen Guo Jingjing. She seems to be greedy because she got herself a rich boyfriend.

Liu Xiang . He is a great sportsman because he has brought world attention to Chinese athletes.  I think all Chinese, including me, are very proud of him.  I don't know much about local sports.  Hong Kong doesn't have particularly outstanding athletes. But I'm not really interested in sports. Shopping is my favourite pastime.

Peng Bo . He was the men's three-metre springboard champion at the 2004 Athens Olympics. He also appears in advertisements.  Yet, not many Hong Kong people know him, perhaps because he lives in the shadow of  diving icons Guo Jingjing  and Tian Liang . But I like him  the most because he is  a very humble person.

I think Liu Xiang  is the best Chinese athlete at the moment. He is talented and diligent. He has made a great contribution to our motherland. I like watching hurdling competitions. They are very exciting. I guess Yao Ming  is good too, but I don't watch too many NBA games. I think Hong Kong athletes lag far behind international standards. I only know about [windsurfing champion] Lee Lai-shan.
