Few among the first batch of graduates can have been more dedicated than Morna Li Sui-kwan.

This 36-year-old medical technologist has a full time, nine-to-five, at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sha Tin, is married with a family of three sons, aged nine, six and two (the youngest wasn't born when she enrolled with OLI) and has a husband whose job does not permit hime to get home until 9pm each evening.

Her hectic schedule means Morna has had to do much of the reading required for her OLI studies on the way to and from work, in the evenings and at weekends.

Today, those years of commitment and hard work will be honoured with the award of a Bachelors degree in General Studies (BGS). Mrs Li has accumulated 120 credits across a range of disciplines in various schools, in a very demanding course structure.

''I'm now taking a course in the Training and Development in the School of Business Administration purely for the interest. I think a better knowledge of management theory should help my daily work commitments in the laboratory.'' ''Later I plan to take further courses that should lead to another degree in environmental sciences,'' she said.
