ALTHOUGH Hong Kong audiences will not see the musical Cats until January, two members of its cast will appear in a preview exhibition of the international box-office hit this weekend at Pacific Place in Admiralty.
The musical's make-up and wigs supervisor, Lisa Nichols, and cast member Simone MacKinnon will also demonstrate Cats -style face painting.
The public can have their faces painted like Cats characters if they make a $40 donation to TREATS, a charity for under-privileged children.
Fifteen students of the Academy for Performing Arts (APA) will help Ms Nichols with the face painting.
Ms Nichols taught the students the skills yesterday at the APA.
She said it usually took an hour to finish the make-up for each cast member, but she was teaching the students a ''scaled-down'' version, which would take about 10 minutes. She said the students were fast learners.
