A CENTRE will be set up in Hong Kong to allow people to sit exams for China's distance learning post-secondary qualifications.

The Hong Kong College of Technology's Information Service Centre of Professional Studies has been appointed to arrange the examinations.

The Guangdong education authorities are to sign an appointment letter next Tuesday, with one of the terms being to exempt Hong Kong people from taking a political subject compulsory for mainlanders.
