The soundtrack of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is a much darker and more complex film score when compared to the music from the movie's three predecessors.

Composed by Patrick Doyle, the album opens with The Story Continues, which conveys a feeling of magic and a sense of mystery. It's followed by the scary Frank Dies, a score that could fit any horror movie, thanks to its creepy atmosphere and melody.

There are some happy moments, including the majestic The Quidditch World Cup, the graceful Potter Waltz and the touching Harry in Winter. But their impact is overshadowed by the haunting music of Voldemort, which is spine-chillingly dark.

The album also includes three tracks by the Weird Sisters, the group that performs at the movie's Yule Ball and is led by Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker.

Rock tunes Do the Hippogriff and This is the Night sound a bit out of place, but Magic Works is a nice ballad that ends the album fittingly.
