How are you going to spend your red packet money? The is asking people to donate one or more of their red packets to the needy. The fund-raising event - Lai See Day - is jointly organised by the Salvation Army and Radio Television Hong Kong. Apart from making donations to designated accounts, the public is also welcome to drop Lai See money in the donation boxes placed in the Salvation Army Headquarters and Family Stores, QQ Rice outlets and Hoixe Cake Shops during the Lunar New Year. A limited number of colourful Lai See envelopes are on sale at $5 for each set of 10. Proceeds will go to charity. Two activities will be held to promote Lai See Day. The first is a street appeal on February 4. The other is a Lai See Day ceremony to be held at Lok Fu Shopping Centre on February 10. Actor Roger Kwok Chun-on will officiate at the ceremony together with 100 students.
