CELEBRATING MOZART Today is the 250th birthday of Mozart. In celebration of the master musician, RTHK's Radio 4 and the Hong Kong Sinfonietta have joined forces to host a birthday concert at 8pm tonight at St John's Cathedral in Central. Conducted by Yip Wing-sze, the concert will feature a selection of masterpieces by Mozart. The venue will be decorated as a 17th century theatre to give the audience a full 'Mozart experience'. Student tickets cost $90 ($180 for adults) and are available from HK Ticketing on 31 288 288. More tribute programmes will be on Radio 4 today. Mozart's most appealing music is being played from early morning to midnight. LION DANCE WITH HIP-HOP FLARE A group of hip-hop fanatics will present the innovative Hip-hop Lion Dance on Monday and Tuesday at 3pm at Times Square. The group, named Since'70, is comprised of hip-hop dancers aged 17 to 23. They are the winners of the China Youth Hip Hop Dance Contest. They will impress spectators with a blend of traditional lion dancing with electrifying hip-hop steps. A series of festive music performances will also be taking place at the shopping centre. Chinese orchestras will provide the entertainment from Wednesday to February 5. Admission is free.
