HACKEN READY TO ROLL

Canto-pop star Hacken Lee Hak-kan will take centre stage at the Hong Kong Coliseum from today until February 4.

Lee's latest album, Concert Hall, boasts the production talents of Au Ting-yuk and Chiu Tsang-hei,  as well as leading classical musicians such as percussionist Lung Heung-wing, flautist Tam Po-shek,  erhu player Siu Pak-yung  and violinist Huang Mengla.

The popster, who is also co-host of the talent show One Minute to Fame, recently won the best male singer award presented by TVB.

Show time is 8.15pm every day, except for tonight  and Monday, when it's 9.30pm.

Tickets cost $400, $200 and $100 and are available from Urbtix on 2734 9009.

LANTERNS TO LIGHT UP OUR LIVES

In celebration of the Lunar New Year, a spectacular lantern exhibition presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department lights up Kowloon Park until February 26.

The exhibition features five sets of lantern displays to add colour to the festive season.

Greeting visitors at the main entrances are dragon and phoenix lanterns.

Another highlight, entitled Bonded Couple Saying Love Forever, is set at the lotus pond, illustrating the well-known legendary characters 'Cowherd and the Weaving Maid.

Admission is free.
