As its name suggests, Chocolate Unlimited specialises in chocolates, with top-of-the-range lines such as Valrhona from France and Italian brands Amedei and Buosi. The three owners - two from Hong Kong and one from Malaysia - have extensive knowledge of their products, from how they're made to how to store and then devour them, and they're constantly on the look out for other premium chocolates from other countries.
Popular purchases include the Buosi chocolate spoons (above right; $25 each), which can be used to stir hot drinks, adding a chocolate flavour; chocolate 'salami' ($115 for 100 grams); and Valrhona bonbons (below left; $95 for 100 grams). The shop can also provide party and wedding favours ($25-$36) in beautifully wrapped ring boxes.
The shop's decor is stylish and relaxed, but with a touch of class; instead of viewing the chocolates in a glass display case, customers are seated on comfortable white and gray couches (above left) and the products are brought to them in transparent cases.
