Built for professional users, the new X60 notebook computer from Samsung Electronics provides high-definition graphics and wireless capabilities without sacrificing portability and performance. The laptop measures 361mm x 265mm x 23.9mm and weighs 2.48kg. It runs Intel's Centrino Duo mobile technology, with the dual-core T2300 processor designed to boost a user's multitasking abilities. It also comes with a 15.4-inch SuperClear display, an ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 graphics chipset, twin-array microphones, a 6-in-1 memory card slot, and a Peripheral Component Interconnect Express Gigabit local area network system for guaranteed stable network connection. The X60 costs $14,380.

Smart operator Look, feel and ease of use are hallmarks that mobile professionals want from their converged devices. Research firm Strategy Analytics (www.strategyanalytics.com) in the United States said those qualities put the Palm Treo 650 smartphone ahead of rival products in its recent consumer testing. The Treo 650 combines a compact, full-featured mobile phone with e-mail, Palm OS organiser, messaging, web access, Bluetooth connection and a digital camera. It also comes with a high-resolution screen and expanded multimedia capabilities such as an MP3 player, and video capture and playback. The Palm Treo 650 smartphone costs $4,880.
