The new BlackBerry handsets from Research In Motion are available in two versions, the black 8700g and the silver 8700v. Both models feature an Intel processor, 64 megabytes of flash memory, 16MB of static random access memory, high-resolution screen, full qwerty keyboard, and a unique light-sensing technology that automatically adjusts screen and keyboard lighting levels for optimal use in outdoor, indoor and dark environments. The 8700v model, exclusive to and customised for SmarTone-Vodafone users, can send voice clips by e-mail and forward e-mail attachments to fax for printout. It costs $4,388, but is $500 cheaper with a 12-month SmarTone-Vodafone contract. The 8700g is sold by CSL and 3 Hong Kong for special subscription contract prices of $3,988 and $3,980, respectively.
