What are they?
Methode Jeanne Piaubert's (MJP) boxer shorts are made with microfibres that contain micro-capsules of three ingredients that are said to help with slimming: caffeine to stimulate lipolysis (a natural way to get rid of fat), cafeislane C to ensure the fat doesn't re-enter fat cells and gingko biloba, which is known for its therapeutic qualities.
What do they do?
French-based MJP's ExpresSlim serum-based product was voted one of the best body care products of 2005 by French magazine Votre Beauty and awarded the gold medal in the Body Product section. Using the serum (below) with the shorts is said to reduce cellulite and fat deposits, and leaves skin smoother, firmer and more toned.
How do they do that?
MJP says fat cells tend to diminish during the day as they're spent on energy, and they restock at night. The day serum is said to get rid of fat and is designed to regulate the effects of insulin, which are higher around midday, by favouring the release of fats from fat cells. MJP says that using ExpresSlim and the shorts for eight days will give flabby thighs a 'shock treatment'. Massage in the night serum before bed and put on the shorts. The shorts can also be worn during the day.
