Earn a foreign MBA without leaving the city
MEMBERS OF the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) based in Hong Kong have a unique opportunity to earn an MBA from an Australian university without having to leave the city.
The only international accountancy body that exclusively focuses on management accounting, it has tied up with Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia to provide an accelerated MBA for chartered management accountants.
Juliee P.L. Tan, manager of CIMA Hong Kong, said she expected Hong Kong-based members to show strong interest in the programme because it offered the chance to gain a globally recognised qualification in a convenient and cost-effective way.
The collaboration allows members to be exempted from six of the 12 credits needed to complete the MBA. This saves a significant amount of study time. The qualification can be attained at savings of up to 70 per cent on the usual MBA tuition fees.
'This is an exclusive learning opportunity for local CIMA members who are keen to develop their careers,' Ms Tan said.
'Hong Kong members are able to advance their careers using the quality of their CIMA qualification as a foundation. It is a wonderful opportunity.'
