SCMP Reporter

Oscar-winning costume designer Emi Wada will give a lecture at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts  on April 7. Wada  designed costumes for Akira Kurosawa's film Ran, which won her an Oscar in 1985.

In Hong Kong, her designs for Ronny Yu Yan-tai's The Bride with White Hair and Mabel Cheung's The Soong Sisters were named best costume design in the 13th and 17th Hong Kong Film Awards.

The lecture, from 1 to 2pm,  will be in Japanese and translated into English. Admission is free. Call 2584 8802 for enquiries.
