Vehicle rams the back of another bus in Aberdeen
Twenty seven people, mostly pupils, were injured in a collision between a school bus and two double-deckers in Aberdeen yesterday.
The crash happened in Wong Chuk Hang Road near a bus stop shortly after the school bus came out of the Aberdeen Tunnel at about 7.30am.
The driver of the school bus, 29, told police he had lost control of the vehicle when he swerved to avoid hitting a car.
'He said that the car had switched lanes in front of the school bus. He braked to avoid hitting the car but his bus skidded and crashed into the back of a Citybus at a bus stop,' a police officer said.
The double-decker was pushed forward into the back of a Kowloon Motor Bus in front.
A police spokesman said the car had left before the police arrived. The driver of a passing bus stopped and offered assistance.
