An Apple a day and some cool tools can cure most of life's ills

Macs good for your health? Well, of course! I have long known about the Mac's ability to save one's sanity. Not from the crashing virus-infected, not-able-to-work frustration type of insanity, although a valid point for this could probably be made. Instead, I am talking about saving yourself from the inability to pay attention that stems from having too many projects under way and unfinished.

If you simply made a list of everything you ever decided to do and then crossed off those that were no longer important, you would free up an incredible amount of attention and calm your mind.

If you took the rest and assigned them a priority, you would be able to eliminate a few hundred more and further ease your mind.

With the remaining aspirations, create a plan proritising them, then start on the plan. Many of man's most common mental confusions are cured this way. The results are miraculous.

It is also the secret to getting a lot of things done: make a list and do everything on the list. You do not need a Mac for this but it helps.

I use Entourage's Tasks lists for everyday lists and OmniOutliner (www.omnigroup.com) for creating serious lists. But there are a dozen highly-rated and inexpensive applications specifically for this purpose, so if you are feeling overwhelmed, follow the procedure above - it works.
