It weighs just 2kg but has a 14.1-inch display, Intel Core Duo T2300 processor, 512MB of double data rate two synchronous dynamic RAM, a 40-gigabyte hard drive, Wi-fi capability and Dell's three-year CompleteCover repair and replacement service plan. The Latitude D820 model starts at $10,470 and includes an Intel Core Duo T2300 chip, 512MB DDR2 shared memory, 40GB hard drive and Wi-fi capability. It comes with a 15.4-inch wide display and weighs 2.54kg.
Maximum security Fail-safe security comes in a small package with the DataTraveler Elite Privacy Edition USB flash drive. The plug-and-play device from Kingston Technology is designed for business users. Available in capacities from 256 megabytes to 4 gigabytes, the drive measures 67.7 x 20.8 x 9.0mm. It has a complex password protocol and a mechanism that locks out would-be attackers after 25 consecutive failed password attempts. It can be used on any computer and does not require so-called admin rights, set up by a firm's information technology administrator. When authorised users access the encrypted files, they can view the data with no additional software. The DataTraveler Elite Privacy Edition USB flash drive is distributed in Hong Kong by Viewking Trading (2865-2070). Local prices have not been released.

It also has a 14.1-inch display, a choice of 80 or 100-gigabyte hard disk drive, spill-resistant keyboard, built-in microphone and four programmable application-launch buttons (internet, e-mail and two other software programs). Its security features include radio frequency-based fingerprint sensor, two-password hard disk-lock and anti-theft lock slot. Prices for the LifeBook S7110 notebook computer start at $16,980.
