Sun Yaling was found at the railway station last Friday after running away from her parents, a duty officer at Zhengzhou's No3 People's Hospital said yesterday. She was sent to the hospital after passers-by called a medical emergency hotline.

'We immediately called the newspapers to help locate her parents,' the spokesman said. 'Her parents came to pick her up the next morning after they read the news. They are very grateful that we've given her treatment.'

He said Yaling's situation had stabilised after she received a blood cell transfusion and she had been checked out of the hospital by her parents.
