Veteran Hong Kong singer Paul Wong Koon-Chung and his friend Jun Kung Shuo-Liang will sing up a storm for sick children at a fund-raising charity concert in May.
Organised by cosmetics firm Kiehls, the White Party will be held at the Hong Kong International Trade & Exhibition Centre in Kowloon Bay on May 20, with funds raised going to the Playright Children's Play Association.
The association started the service in 1994 to help alleviate the stress and anxiety faced by children in hospital.
Blondi Kwok, the association's hospital service manager, said children often felt afraid in hospital.
'We provide some preparation or distraction play, and help them to cope with the pain and anxiety during medical procedures,' she said.
At a press conference at the Harbour Plaza Metropolis last Thursday to announce the concert, Paul Wong gave a preview of his upcoming performance by singing several songs with Kung.
